Community ServicE
​Community service is an important aspect to our organization. Gamma Alpha Omega is directly linked to our communities with pride. Through volunteer service, we learn the importance of giving back to our communities and encouraging young people of color to strive for a college education.
Gamma Alpha Omega has participated in the following events as a group:

These are just a few events Gamma Alpha Omega takes part in to improve and successfully give back to our communities as a whole.
National Mentoring Month
​January is National Mentoring Month. We use this month to give back to the people that have helped us along our academic careers. It is our goal to raise awareness about the importance of mentoring youth and giving back to the community, no matter how small.

​Every year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day we participate/volunteer in one of the nation's largest MLK celebration. We stand along side our Seattle community to keep MLK's legacy alive and continue the fight for equality.

One of our annual traditions is to gift wrap and raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters during the Holidays. We help spread the Holiday cheer while supporting our partner philanthropy .

​Latina Health Fair is an annual event we volunteer and promote in our community. It is put on by different organizations around the city that come together and provide free medical services for the Spanish speaking community.
